Building KSC’s Launch Complex 39

In the beginning, there was sand and palmettos and water.  Yet out of this idyllic setting would grow the most unique structures – engineering milestones – that would set the stage for the future of space.

The Kennedy Space Center of the 21st century began life in the early 1960s when new facilities were needed to launch the moon-bound Saturn V rockets.
