WHO WE ARE
The KSC Health Education and Wellness Program (HEWP), run by Brittany Freeman, Wellness Program Coordinator, is available to all Kennedy Space Center employees as part of the NASA Environmental & Medical Contract (NEMCON).
WHERE WE ARE
The HEWP office is located in the Occupational Health Facility (OHF, bldg M6-495), Room 1040. The OHF is located southwest of Headquarters Building. For information regarding the HEWP, please email Brittany Freeman at brittany.freeman@nasa.gov.
WHAT WE DO
The HEWP has several ongoing and developing programming components that serve its goals and objectives. All of our services and programs are COMPLIMENTARY to employees.
Program Goal: Our goal is to increase awareness of personal health, promote a healthful lifestyle and provide early detection of health conditions and diseases for and among our employees.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- To educate employees about their personal health such as the body’s physiology and disease risk factors.
- To identify risk factors and other health conditions through screenings.
- To educate employees about health behaviors that can reduce health risk.
- To assist employees in health risk reduction through interactive health education and promotion programming.
- To support and promote the adoption and maintenance of a healthful lifestyle.
