KSC’s current planning state includes information about conditions and variables that directly influence future planning for the spaceport. An analysis of how land area resources are currently used, combined with an understanding of KSC’s natural and built environment determines development suitability, buildable land area and ultimately the highest and best use of land and facility resources. Access to and circulation within existing development areas is described in the context of the center’s unique quinti-modal transportation network. Utilities services to all development areas, including ownership, maintenance and operational considerations, is described in the context of capacity, reliability and sustainability.
