Science and Robotic Spacecraft

NASA’s Launch Services Program is responsible for NASA’s science and robotic missions that study and observe earth, visit other planets, and explore the solar system ranging from telescopes and weather satellites to Mars rovers and asteroid redirecting spacecraft. The work performed by NASA’s Launch Services Program (LSP) is entirely focused on the spacecraft customer’s mission needs. In other words, the work of LSP benefits the goals of the spacecraft, which ultimately benefits society through the legacy of scientific discovery!

Some of LSP’s spacecraft customers include other NASA centers, research institutions, international partners, other United States’ government agencies, and universities and high schools across the United States launching small research satellites (CubeSats).
