VADR Launch Services Contract
VADR
Building on NASA’s efforts to promote development of new commercial launch vehicles for NASA payloads, LSP’s Venture-class Acquisition of Dedicated and Rideshare (VADR) contract provides launch services for payloads that can tolerate higher risk.
The VADR launch services contract embraces a commercial approach that utilizes a lower level of mission assurance to achieve lower launch costs. VADR will provide launches of CubeSats and other small satellites either on dedicated missions or as rideshare payloads on other launches. These highly flexible VADR contracts will help broaden access to space by fostering growth in the U.S. commercial launch market.
